I thought everything was perfect for a November box. I opened it thinking it was my Hygge treat but realized after looking at every piece it was meant to be my daughter’s. With a single two-handled bowl, packet of healthy soup, a Christmas cozy to keep the bowl warm, tea, and a paper tree with lights, it was perfect for her. So I wrapped it back up and sent it to her for her birthday. It was perfect for one person. She just moved out on her own to another state and this would send the comforts of home. Thank you, Hygge Box!
I read some reviews of past boxes people got and they said generally there is a candle, hand moisturiser, something to eat or drink like chocolates or tea and something to keep you warm or cozy like socks or a blanket. These are all things I very much would like to have. Other than the tea bags, I was kind of disappointed there weren't any of the other things in this box. There is a pack of soup but the instructions said it would take 3 hours to cook. Thinking about taking that long sounds like a lot of work and exhausting. It doesn't sound very relaxing nor joyful. I feel like until I make the soup I wouldn't be able to put the soup mug/ cup and the cup cozy to use. I don't understand the concept of the cup cozy. I want to be cozy, not my cup.
I am a little sad about spending $60 on a box of things I might not use after all.
The December, 2023 was my first Hygge Box and I'm so thrilled I got it. First of all, the fluffy marshmallow blanket is AMAZING. Incredibly soft and warm and snuggly. The candle said it's like walking through the heart of the forest and it literally is - it smells exactly like that. There were gingersnaps, a hot cocoa spoon, and 2 adorable gnome ornaments, too. All in all, I loved this box and can't wait for the next one.
Although I adore the monthly Hygge box, I was a little bit disappointed in the box for this month. The mesh shopping bag is a tad cumbersome. The candle is adorable, but not something that I will ever use as I do not use candles. Tea, I would love to receive teas!
